tulips

A Poem by Skye Cabrera

i gaze at vast fields

of tulips

i observe them with their pair

as i sit with myself

i cherished the solitude

never wanting anything else

but oh was i curious

to know what they felt

they seemed happy

maybe even in love

they shared happiness

and the lack thereof

they danced in a rhyme

so beautiful it is envied by god

but who am i

to know what they truly felt

for i simply stand away

in isolation

they are tulips and

i am just a gardener

full of imagination
